I would like to share some of my Wonderful Memories with you, when I was involved in Country Music in Nashville, Tennessee circa late 1950's & 1960's. Loretta Lynn had met the Wilburn Brothers who were going to help her record on a bigger label, but she had to live in Nashville. That's when my husband Sam H. Morgan (now deceased) & I let Loretta & her husband Mooney move into our home in Nashville. Everything was free to them while they lived with us, food, clothing etc until they were able to make enough money to get a home of their own. We had some good times back then & alot of Wonderful Memories! I had several close friends in Country Music at that time & I was at the "Grand Ole Opry" ( The Ryman ) every Saturday night. Some of my close friends were Buck Owens, Harlan Howard & Jan Howard, Dottie West & her husband Billy West, Hawkshaw Hawkins & Jean Shepard, Grant Turner at WSM in Nashville, Carl & Pearl Butler, Skeeter Davis, Billy Grammer, Ralph Emery, Marty Robbins, Archie Campbell, Bill Anderson, Clyde Beavers, Faron Young, Jim Reeves & his wife Mary, Patsy Cline & Billy & Ruth Grammer. I was part Indian & so was Loretta & both of our parents were living in Indiana at that time, so when Loretta moved in with us, alot of people thought that we were sisters ! Also, Loretta & I were both born in Kentucky. We had alot of fun with that ! After we moved back to Indiana, we would continue to visit Loretta & Mooney at their ranch in Goodlettsville, Tennessee when their twins, Patsy & Peggy were little. Loretta made me a dress that I still have. She is a very talented & genuine woman indeed ! She's the "Real Deal". I'm glad to have been in Country Music during that period of time when these many legends were making their way in the music business !
